Please note that due to COVID19 restrictions the U3A groups may be temporarily suspended or operating remotely. Please contact group leaders before trying to attend a meeting.

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a learning co-operative of people no longer in full time employment. It is run by the members for the members.

Pontyclun U3A meets on the third Monday of each month in Pontyclun Community Hall.

How do I join?

Anyone can join as long as they are in their ‘third age’, that is they are retired or semi-retired.

The annual subscription is £15 which covers all the groups you may wish to join. Prospective new members are welcome to attend one monthly meeting free of charge.

If you want to join the Pontyclun U3A, just come along to one of our monthly meetings and sign up. If you want to attend any of the interest groups before a monthly meeting, you are welcome to do so, and explain you plan to join at the next general (monthly) meeting.

Interest Groups

U3A members form interest groups covering as wide a range of topics as they desire. No qualifications are sought or offered. Learning is for its own sake with enjoyment being the prime motive.
