Groesfaen Bus Shelter plaques

Bus Shelter Groesfaen

The Stone bus shelter in the centre of Groesfaen is not in itself of any great historic or architectural value, however inside are 2 memorial plaques which commemorate war dead associated with the village – Lance Corporals William Morgan and David Llewellyn

The plaques were previously sited in Babell Chapel whilst it was open as a Methodist Chapel. They were removed when the Chapel was purchased by the Plymouth Bretheren.

In addition there is a description of their war service plus that of Sgt John Morgan of the RAF who is buried in St David’s Churchyard, which is just down the road.
