There is always plenty going on at Christmas in Pontyclun. The shops come alive with great Christmas decorations, the town centre is buzzing with visitors. So why not join us at one of our community events this year.

Pontyclun Christmas Fayre
The Pontyclun Christmas Fayre is the highlight of our festivities. Organised by the Community Council and featuring over 70 stalls, food trucks, activities and games. Music is provided by local Choirs and bands with ukpartydj providing a great selection of music for all to enjoy.
The Fayre is on Saturday 3rd December, opening to the public at 1.30pm till 6pm in The car park at Heol yr Orsaf; The Community Centre and Cafe 50.
With a large marquee full of stalls and the indoor venues this is perfect for all the family, young and old, whatever the weather brings.

We have had information from the North Pole telling us that Santa should be able to visit our grotto from 2pm till 5pm so get your kiddies ready to see him at the Fayre

The Christmas lights go on in Pontyclun shortly after Remembrance day and give the shopping area a great festive feel ahead of the Christmas season.
Lighting the Christmas Tree
The Community Christmas tree will be lit up at 4pm on Saturday 26th November.
The ceremony by Giles Gallery will have music and singing from the St Paul’s Players ahead of their Panto the following week
Each year we ask local Charity groups and school children to make the decorations. This years are from Pontyclun Bosom Pals, who are a local breast cancer support group and Pontyclun primary school.
The Christmas Tree in Groesfaen has decorations made on behalf of Groesfaen Gwyrdd a local group who are working to better the environment in Groesfaen.
Pontyclun Santa Run
Come along on Sunday 18th December and join Pontyclun’s very own Santa Run.
Now in its 7th year its sure to be a great event – suitable for all ages and abilities
Christmas fair at St Pauls’s Church Hall
If you are starting Christmas early why not pop into the Christmas faire and Grotto at St paul’s Church Hall on Saturday 26th November
Funds in aid of the Church and there are various stalls, raffles and a tombola. Santa will be in his grotto.
£1 per adult with £3 per child for the Grotto
Carols, Quiz and Crackling
Join Llantrisant Male Voice choir for a fun night at the Carols, Quiz and Crackling night in aid of the Pontyclun Refugee support group
Lots of fun with raffles, music, a bar and prizes for best Christmas theme dress the quiz will be a grea night to remember

Bethel Church Nativity Trail
Each year Bethel Church transforms the woods at the back of the Church into a glorious sparkly festive scene, following the Nativity Story along an illuminated trail that runs through the forest.
This year its open on the weekend of 17/18 December, come along and enoy this special family treat, as well as some festive activities and refreshments!
2Wish Christmas Cracker
On Sunday 4th December 2Wish will be holding a festive event in the Marquee at the car park in Heol yr Orsaf
Starting at 9.30 and running tuill 1pm it will have a range of kids actrivities including, Arts and Crafts. Games, Competitions. Therre will be musical entertainment, a photobooth and hot drinks and food for sale. Just pop along and enjoy the fun.
You can also buy your Christmas tree ready to put up for the festive season
